Elk Grove Police Stop In-Progress Burglary



Elk Grove Police stopped an in-progress burglary early yesterday morning at a new home construction site.

According to police reports, officers responded to an in-progress residential burglary where two suspects were taking appliances from a house that was under construction. When officers arrived, the two suspects fled on foot leaving their getaway car containing the stolen goods.

Officers established an area perimeter and found 38-year old Ralph Galvan of Stockton hiding in a nearby field. The second suspect, 52-year old Larry Cochenour of Stockton, was apprehended in the perimeter area by a police K-9 unit.

Both suspects were arrested and transferred to the county jail.

Two arrested for outstanding warrants, possession of stolen gun and metal knuckles

Police also report the arrest of a Fair Oaks and Sacramento residents following a vehicle code violation late last night near Bruceville Road and Center Parkway .

According to police reports, after making the code enforcement stop, officers discovered that the two suspects, 26-year old Devon Potter of Fair Oaks and 26-year old David Cross of Sacramento , had outstanding arrest warrants.

A search of Cross found him to be in possession of a stolen handgun and metal knuckles. Both suspects were arrested and transported to the county jail.

Other arrests

Police also report the arrest of 20-year old Sheila Din of Sacramento on suspicion of embezzlement of the Toy R Us store on Bond Road . Din was transferred to the county jail.

Also arrested yesterday was 43-year old Kenneth Hall of Elk Grove on suspicion of robbery. According to police reports Hall is suspected of stealing jewelry, a debit card and cash from the owner of the house he was renting a room from.
