Correction 8:40 PM PST

As was pointed out during tonight's Elk Grove City Charter Commission meeting, the point being debated for the last several months was "prevailing wages" and not a "living wage."

We stand corrected.

We are appreciative of Commissioner Jake Rambo pointing this out during the meeting and for reading our news site.

Why are some members of the Elk Grove City Charter commissioners so opposed to possible provisions in the proposed city charter that would make public works projects subject to prevailing providing a living wages?

Could it be that they are really looking out for someone other than the working man or women? Could it be they be looking for some future hand-out from some real estate developer or other big-business interests for a possible future run for office?

Now that's playing politics!

We would be very disappointed to find that Elkgrovenews.net is a shill of Big Labor. The language left out of the charter would allow LOCAL, non-union companies to bid on public projects...what wrong wit dat???

What's clear to this viewer is the man in black is labor and the guy digging deep into his pocket is the tax payer.
