At 10:42 p.m. last night the Elk Grove Police Department responded to a 911 call regarding a single vehicle motorcycle collision at Auberry Drive and Geneva Pointe Drive.
Upon arrival, officers discovered that a 43-year-old motorcyclist traveling south on Auberry Drive had lost control of his motorcycle and collided with a tree. The motorcyclist was thrown from his motorcycle as a result of the collision and suffered fatal injuries.
Medical personnel arrived and determined that the motorcyclist was deceased. Identification of the driver will be made by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office.
The collision is under investigation at this time. Anyone with information regarding this fatal traffic collision is asked to call the Elk Grove Police Department Traffic Bureau at (916) 478-8148.
