The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) today announced it is launching a paid advertising and grassroots campaign to hold Representative Dan Lungren (CA-03) accountable for voting to end Medicare.

As part of this new phase of the “Drive to 25” campaign, the DCCC is running news-weather-traffic radio ads, web ads, automated and live phone calls, and sending “action alert” e-mails beginning today in 25 targeted districts, including Representative Lungren’s district.

Text of the ad running against Representative Dan Lungren follows:

“Did you know Congressman Dan Lungren voted to end Medicare forcing seniors to pay $12,500 for private health insurance, without guaranteed coverage? Tell Lungren to keep his hands off our Medicare.”

The DCCC also released the “How Will You Pay?” Medicare web ad to hold Representative Lungren accountable for voting to end Medicare. See the DCCC’s “How Will You Pay?” web video here.
