Elk Grove Police Make Narcotics Arrest After Traffic Stop

A routine traffic stop by Elk Grove Police officers early Monday morning led to a narcotics arrest.
According to police reports, 28-year-old Allen Chao of Elk Grove was stopped for a vehicle code violation near Highway 99 and Elk Grove Blvd. A records check revealed that Chao was driving on a suspended license.

An inventory search of the vehicle prior to towing led to the discovery of narcotics. Chao was arrested and a subsequent search reportedly led to the discovery of additional narcotics.

Chao was transferred to the county jail and his vehicle was towed.
