Elk Grove Police Seek Help in Fatal and Run Accident

On March 17, 2012 at 3:55 a.m., the Elk Grove Police Department responded to a call regarding an unresponsive individual who was discovered lying in the roadway at the intersection of Elk Grove Blvd. and School St.

Upon arrival, officers and medical personnel were unable to revive the victim and he was declared deceased. The identification of the deceased will be made by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office.

Based on the nature of the injuries the victim sustained, investigators believe that he was struck by an unidentified vehicle that fled the scene. At this point, investigators do not have a description of the vehicle involved or the driver.

Anyone with information regarding this hit and run collision is asked to call the Elk Grove Police Department Traffic Bureau at (916) 478-8148 or Crime Alert at (916) 443-HELP (4357). Callers to Crime Alert can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.00. Tips can also be sent via SMS text message by entering CRIMES (274637) on a cell phone, followed by Tip732 (agency identification number) and the message.

We need the communities help if you saw Jackson that night if your son or daughter saw him and only said Hi to him the police would like to know.
