A call to police about a suspicious car led to the arrest of two men yesterday morning.

According to Elk Grove Police, officers responded to a call about a suspicious car occupied by two men that was seen driving away from a residential neighborhood. Responding officers located the vehicle on the 6700 block of Laguna Blvd. and initiated an enforcement stop.

Upon contact officers officers discovered that the passenger in the vehicle, 45-year-old Richard Ellsion of Roseville had three misdemeanor warrants out for his arrest.

A search of the driver, 46-year-old Louis Valdez of Elk Grove led to the discovery of of narcotics and narcotic paraphernalia.

Ellison was issued a new citation with a court date and Valdez was arrested and transferred to the county jail.
