Elk Grove Parents Arrested, Child Taken Into Custody

An Elk Grove Grove couple not only were arrested Friday night, their child was taken into protective custody.

According to Elk Grove Police, officers arrested Elk Grove residents 34-year-old Eric Alcaraz and 29-year-old Jessica Sanchez on suspicion of transportation and possession of narcotics for sale. During the course of the arrest, a search of the residence on the 9600 block of Webb St., officers found narcotics paraphernalia in a room they shared with their 18-month old child.

The child was taken into protective custody and the parents were taken to the county jail where the remain in custody.
