Whet Your Appetite - Food Trucks Roll Into Elk Grove Park This Sunday

With an easing of regulations covering food truck operations in Elk Grove, five elected Elk Grove officials will be hosting a Food Mob event this Sunday afternoon.

Sponsored by Elk Grove Mayor Jim Cooper, Council Member Steve Detrick and Cosumnes Community Services District board members Rod Brewer, Rich Lozano and Michlle Orrock, the event will also benefit the Elk Grove Police Activities League.

The trucks will be serving a wide array of food from 3 to 8 p.m. this Sunday at the Rotary Grove area of the Elk Grove Regional Park. In addition to the 15 food trucks, there will be entertainment and an adult wine and beer garden.

"Please join us this Sunday in the Rotary Grove for the biggest food truck event that the Sacramento Region has ever seen," Council Member Steve Detrick said. "Enjoy the music, food and beverages and bring the whole family."
