An 86-year old lady was mugged and injured Friday morning.
According to Elk Grove police, the victim was entering a store on the 9000 block of Bruceville Road when an unknown suspect approached her from behind and grabbed her purse. The suspect pushed the victim to the ground and fled on foot.
The victim was taken to an area hospital for injuries she sustained in the attack. The victim was unable to give a physical description of the assailant.
