In what can only be described as a despicable crime, three Elk Grove residents were arrested yesterday afternoon after they allegedly stole money from a donation jar for youth soccer.

According to Elk Grove Police, 19-year old David Farrow and 18-year old Jakier Roseman stole a money container from a table in front of a business on the 9100 block of Elk Grove-Florin Road where two juveniles were soliciting for donations to support a youth soccer league. Responding officers located the described suspects riding their bicycles a short distance from the business.

Farrow and Roseman were positively identified as being responsible for the theft. Both suspects were arrested and taken to the county jail where Farrow is still in custody and Roseman released on bail.

A third suspect, a16-year old male was also contacted and issued a misdemeanor citation for providing false information, trespassing and possession of tobacco then released to his father.
