Suspected Movie Pirate Cited at Elk Grove Theater

A Sacramento man was cited Friday after he allegedly thought popcorn was not quite enough for his evening movie.

According to Elk Grove Police, 31-year old Iwalani Tootoo was placed under a citizen's arrest after he was observed recording a movie with his cell phone at the Century Laguna 16 Theaters on Big Horn Boulevard. The suspect was arrested, issued a misdemeanor citation, then released. 

No word on which movie he was alleged attempting to record.
