Two Sacramento residents arrested on suspicion of shoplifting Friday night were also slapped with identity theft charges.

According to Elk Grove Police, 23-year old Channell Lobato and 31-year old Anthony Cervantes were detained by loss prevention personnel at the Elk Grove Boulevard Walmart on suspsicion of shoplifting. Responding officers found both suspects had outstanding arrest warrants with Cervantes on parole and Lobato on probation.

A probation search of Lobato led to the discovery of narcotics and a search of their vehicle led to the discovery of narcotics and credit cards not belonging to neither suspect.

Officers also located several pieces of personal information and tax documents not belonging to the suspects. Both suspects were arrested and booked into the county jail where Lobato remains in custody on $80,000 bail and Cervantes is not eligible for bail after violation of his parole.

Sounds like an easy one to me. Why would they vote for someone who did not honor his pledge to finish his term as EGUDS Trustee? We have enough on our present city council with no integrity. Need someone who can think for themselves, work for the community as a whole and don't find it important to honor the big bucks or "yes" their sidekick on the city council.
