Elk Grove Police arrested four individuals for an alleged assault that occurred early Sunday morning.

According to police reports, the 27-year old male victim was confronted by 22-year old Andrew Nguyen and 20-year old Joshua Aguilar of Sacramento and 19-year old Robert Deanda of Elk Grove in front of a business located on the 9300 block of Elk Grove-Florin Road. As the trio surrounded him, the victim attempted to get away with the suspects giving chase.

Nguyen reportedly threw a glass bottle at the victim that struck him in the head causing a visible injury. When Elk Grove Police officers arrived, Nguyen and Aguilar attempted to get away in a vehicle driven by 22-year old Courtney Donovan of Elk Grove while Deanda was caught as he attempted to flee on foot.

Officers located the vehicle with the three suspects a short distance away, conducted an enforcement stop and detained Nguyen, Aguilar and Donovan. After the victim positively identified them, they were arrested and taken to the county jail where they all remain in custody on assault with deadly weapon charges.
