Elk Grove Fast Food Employee Assaulted During Attempted Robbery

A 32-year old woman was arrested early yesterday morning after she attacked a fast food restaurant employee.

According to Elk Grove Police reports, Krystle Anderson, who was described as a transient, entered the Burger King restaurant on Elk Grove Boulevard and attempted to jump over the counter and open the cash register. When confronted by an employee, Anderson allegedly struck the employee in the face.

After she was unable to open the register, Anderson fled the restaurant and responding officers located her a short distance away. After being detained, Anderson became uncooperative and was placed in a full-body restraint system.

The suspect was arrested and booked into the county jail where she remains in custody on a $50,000 bail.
