Three unknown shoplifting suspects attacked a retail store employee yesterday afternoon in Elk Grove.

According to police reports, two suspects were observed shoplifting merchandise at the Elk Grove Home Depot and upon their exit from the store, they were approached by a loss prevention employee. As one of the suspects was being detained, the other fled, then returned and punched the employee.

While the employee was struggling with the two suspects, another unidentified suspect exited a nearby car and came over to assist the other suspects. The three suspects were able to escape and fled in a red vehicle. 

The first suspect was described as a black female adult, 5'10", 140 lbs., wearing a white tank top and the second suspect was described as a black male adult, 140 lbs. No description was provided for the third suspect.
