Two armed burglars broke into a house late Saturday night where they confronted a resident at gunpoint.

According to Elk Grove Police, two unknown suspects kicked-in the front door of a residence located on the 8600 block of Blue Maiden Way. The occupant of the residence, a 59-year old female was asleep at the time of the burglar's entry.

When the occupant looked downstairs, she saw the suspects inside her residence. Fearing for her safety, she hid in a closet and called a relative.

After several minutes, she exited the closet and was confronted by one of the suspects who pointed a handgun at her, then walked downstairs. The suspects took property from the residence and fled on foot.

The suspects were described as wearing masks and dark clothing.

Happier ending would be like the one on Arcade Blvd where the homeowner's brother drilled the two burglars and took them out.

It seems so many women have been conditioned by society to not fight back against criminals who threaten their safety and well-being. You would not find this woman hiding in a closet if robbers broke into my house. That would bring out the beast in me and I would use all my weapons to fight back against the threat to my safety and home security.
