Sacramento man who allegedly tried to entice a 15-year old female to perform an act of prostitution, was arrested last night after he led police on a drunken vehicle pursuit.

According to Elk Grove Police, officers were in the Highway 99-Calvine Road area after receiving a call regarding a man who had solicited a teenage female and made threats of physical violence towards her. During their patrol of the area, officers found the suspect's described vehicle and initiated an enforcement stop.

When officers activated their emergency lights and sirens, the driver of the vehicle, 55-year old Houston Smith, did not yield and drove north on Highway 99 at approximately 60 miles per hour. Smith exited at Florin Road where he eventually stopped his vehicle.

Smith was detained and officers discovered that his three juvenile sons were inside the vehicle. Upon contact, the suspect also displayed objective signs of impairment.

Smith was arrested and booked into the county jail where he remains in custody on $95,000 bail. The three juveniles were released to a relative.
