During their Wednesday night meeting, the Elk Grove City Council decided to continue its relationship with Northern California Soccer (NCS) in hopes of landing a Major League Soccer team. A major part of the pursuit includes public financing of $120 million stadium.

During that meeting, Elk Grove City Manager offered an unvarnished analysis of the city's prospects of financing a professional-grade soccer stadium. Of particular interest, are the first three minutes of the video where City Manager Laura Gill attempts to refute Mayor Gary Davis.

In the end, the council decided to continue its negotiations with NCS.

Just catching up on stories. It seems Mr Detrick flipped on this. How does it believe a "net zero" is possible when the city donates the land; finances 120 million, gets no parking, no ticket sales, no concession sales? His logic is missing. Pat Hume at least voiced a reasoned, thought out concern...the rest of those clowns just want a legacy.
