Person of Interest in Custody Related to Elk Grove Homicide

Elk Grove Police disclosed they have a person of interest in custody relating to the discovery of the body of a 75-year old man yesterday.

Early yesterday afternoon the body of Xihao Huang of Elk Grove was discovered in a field near Bellaterra Drive and Whitelock Parkway. The victim suffered numerous stab wounds and the death is being investigated as a homicide.

During the course of this investigation, officers identified a person of interest who is in custody on an unrelated charge. Due to the ongoing nature of this investigation, the person of interest is not being identified at this time.
