According to information posted on the Elk Grove City Clerk's webpage, another person has drawn candidate papers to enter the race for the Elk Grove City Council.

In documents filed earlier today, Elk Grove resident Kristofer J. Tan has submitted a Form 501, candidate intention statement. Tan, who listed a Democratic party affiliation, is entering the District 4 race.

The current seat is occupied by Bob Trigg who promised not to seek election when he was appointed in January, 2013 to fill a vacancy when the previous representative, Gary Davis, was elected mayor. With Tan's entry, there are now six district residents who have declared their intention to fill the seat.
