Elk Grove Police apprehended a man suspected of breaking-in and burglarizing a residential dwelling yesterday afternoon.

According to police reports, officers responded to a burglar alarm from a house on the 9400 block of Cote D'or Drive. As officers responded, witnesses gave a description of the suspect seen fleeing from the residence.

Officer located a man fitting the description running in a nearby neighborhood and after detaining him, found him to be in possession of property stolen from the house. The suspect, 24-year old Antoine Brown of Oakland, was arrested and booked into the county jail where he remains in custody on $50,000 bail.
