Three suspects, one of whom had two outstanding arrest warrants, were arrested yesterday afternoon following an attempted shoplifting at Elk Grove's Home Depot.

According to Elk Grove Police, 47-year old Kenneth Holloway was observed leaving the store through a rear exit with merchandise he did not purchase. As loss prevention personnel pursued Holloway, he reached a car being driven by 45-year old Cancio Soto and dove in the car through an open window.

The car fled the area without the merchandise and responding officers located the vehicle a short distance away. A records check revealed that Holloway had two outstanding warrants and was arrested.

Soto, and a passenger in the car, 24-year old Janae Rodriguez were arrested and a search found that Rodriguez was in the possession of the controlled substance.

Holloway is being held on four felony charges and is not eligible for bail. Soto is being held on $80,000 bail and Rodriguez has been released on bail.
