Elk Grove 24-Hour Walgreens Store Robbed at Gunpoint Early Monday Morning

The 24-hour Walgreens store on the corner of Laguna Boulevard and Bruceville Road was robbed early Monday morning by two men, one of whom was armed with a handgun.

According to Elk Grove Police, the first suspect entered the store shortly after 3 a.m., brandished a handgun at an employee and demanded money from the cash register. The employee was able to flee and hid in a storage room.

The second suspect entered the store, and along with the armed suspect, jumped the counter taking merchandise before fleeing the store on foot. 

The gunman was 5`8" to 6'0" tall with a skinny build (150-160 lbs), wearing a dark colored ski mask, black gloves and black baggy pants. The second suspect was 5'7" to 6'0" tall with a medium build, wearing a dark colored ski mask, black gloves, a black shirt, black pants with white athletic shoes. 

Responding officers were unable to locate the duo.
