A local businessman who competed with Elk Grove City Council District 4 candidate Nancy Chaires for appointment to the city council has announced his endorsement of her candidacy.
"As a longtime resident of Elk Grove, I have always tried to find the best for our city and that is why I'm supporting Nancy for City Council," Oscar O'Con said. "Nancy's many years on the Planning Commission, and her respectful and deliberative style show that she is a problem-solver, committed to addressing the challenges our city faces. Nancy is the best choice for Elk Grove." 
A local business man, member of the Elk Grove Chamber of Commerce PAC and past president of the Elk Grove Rotary Club, O'Con was one of  five candidates who sought appointment to the Elk Grove City Council, District 4 seat upon Gary Davis' election as mayor. 
Chaires is a current member of the Elk Grove Planning Commission and is one of four candidates for the District 4 seat.

Just can't shake the feeling that the two front runners Chares and Ly are going to end being cookie cutter politicians. Anyone know or have an opinion on the other two candidates?
