Man Shot in Parking Lot of Elk Grove School, Refuses To Cooperate With Cops

A man was shot in the parking lot of Elk Grove's Harriet Eddy Junior High early Saturday night. 

According to Elk Grove Police reports, officer were dispatched to the school located on Soaring Oaks Drive regarding a shooting and when they arrived, they found a man had been shot in the leg. The victim, 31-year old Mateo Gallegos, was uncooperative with officers regarding the circumstances of the shooting. 

One witness said a possible suspect vehicle described as a dark blue 2010 or 2011 Nissan Maxima was seen fleeing the area.
