An Elk Grove man suspected of shoplifting yesterday was arrested after he allegedly resisted police officers.

According to Elk Grove Police, 28-year old Montrell Gillion was observed shoplifting at the Bruceville Road Kohl's department store. After exiting the store without paying, Gillion was contacted by responding officers while he was seated in a vehicle and became uncooperative.

A brief struggle ensued but officers were able to subdue and handcuff Gillion. A search led to the discovery of the stolen merchandise and burglary tools.

Gillion was arrested but has been released on bail.

Question(s):
How does one get released on bail after resisting arrest?
How low was the bar on that bail amount?
