An Elk Grove man was assaulted and robbed late last night on a city street.
According to Elk Grove Police, the 18-year old Hispanic victim was walking on the 8900 block of Rio Grande Court at about 10:30 p.m. when he was approached by two or three black male suspects who were inside a gray vehicle. The suspects exited the vehicle, assaulted the victim and stole unidentified personal property.
The suspects fled in the car in an unknown direction and the victim was taken to an area hospital for medical evaluation. No additional information on the suspected assailants was available.
