Four juveniles were taken into custody early Friday night after they allegedly attacked and injured a man in Elk Grove.

According to Elk Grove Police, the four male suspects ages 15, 16 [2] and 17 were involved in a verbal altercation with the 39-year old victim on the 8800 block of Bond Road. During the confrontation, one of the suspects punched the victim in the head and the others joined in on the attack.

When the victim fell to the ground, the four juvenile suspects continued to hit and kick him in the head and body. The suspects then fled the area on foot.

Responding officers contacted the victim who had sustained visible injuries to his face. Officers were able to locate the four suspects, and after detaining the group, the victim positively identified them as the suspected assailants.

The four teens were taken into custody and transferred to juvenile hall.
