Shoplifter Pepper-Sprays Elk Grove Walmart Employee

December 24, 2014 |

In the second incident of its kind this week, a retail store employee was pepper-sprayed by a suspected shoplifter yesterday morning.

According to Elk Grove Police, a black female adult was observed shoplifting merchandise by an employee at the Elk Grove Boulevard Walmart. When she left the store without paying, a store employee attempted to detain her.

The suspect resisted by pepper-spraying the employee, and then fled in a white four door car. The suspect was wearing a gold and red dress.

On Sunday, an unknown shoplifter sprayed an employee at the Burlington Coat Factory on East. Stockton Boulevard with an unknown substance.
