Elk Grove Police Apprehend Suspected Car Thief After Pursuit

Elk Grove Police apprehended a man suspected of driving a stolen car after a vehicle pursuit last night in Elk Grove.

According to police reports, patrol officers observed 18-year old Arthur Cornelius Curtright of Sacramento operating a vehicle that had been reported stolen. When officers attempted to conduct an enforcement stop, Curtright did not stop and led officers on a 13 minute, 6.9 mile pursuit that ended near Laguna Boulevard and Big Horn Drive.

Curtright was arrested without incident and remains in custody at the county jail on a $50,000 bail.

Why do these people head to Elk Grove with their stolen cars? Maybe they get hungry and they heard we are the Foodie destination city and shoplifter's delight?
