An Elk Grove man was arrested Friday night after police allegedly found him passed-out in a car in a drive-through lane.

According to Elk Grove Police, officers were dispatched to the 2700 block of Elk Grove after receiving reports of a man passed out in a running vehicle. Upon contacting 33-year old Javier Romero, the suspect displayed objective signs of impairment.

Romero was detained and narcotics residue was discovered on his lap. A search of the vehicle led to the discovery of a loaded handgun with an extra loaded magazine in the unlocked glove box, a controlled substance in the center console of the vehicle, and a loaded assault rifle in the trunk.

Romero was arrested and booked into the county jail.
