Waterman Road in Elk Grove to be Closed tomorrow for Emergency Repairs

Elk Grove city crews will close Waterman Road between Rancho Drive and Sheldon Road for emergency pavement repairs on Thursday, February 5. 

Accelerated sub-grade failures and December storms have resulted in cracks and crumbling pavement along the aging roadway. Storms forecast for this week could result in further damage. Waterman Road from Bond Road to Sheldon Road is funded for full reconstruction in 2017.

Thursday’s closures are planned in two phases between the hours of 7 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.  Work is scheduled as follows: 

1.       From Rancho Drive to Bond Road – Beginning at 7:00 a.m..      
2.       From Bond Road to   Sheldon Road – Following Completion of Stage 1

 Elk Grove-Florin Road and Bradshaw Road are recommended as alternate north/south routes during this closure.  Roadway signs will alert motorists in the area of detours and alternate routes.
