Wow. How rude, how DISMISSIVE. Mayor Davis, cut off and shutdown. Watch the avoidance looks on his face - very telling. Looking down, looking away.

The trails can be one of the major beneficial attributes for which this city is known when new residents contemplate a move here.

But, 15 street crossings!!! Doty's concerns were real and serious. Suen attempted a response,
but Davis refused to follow up. Just the obligatory 'thank you' words indicating 'We're done here, Now move along.'

Please, won't someone who cares run against Davis?!
He needs to go.

Maybe it's time to give our Mayor a "Kill Switch" and he can just cut them off in midsentence when they don't follow his line of thinking. Please, no gavel though or we'll all go home with headaches.

Wouldn't you just love to hear the Mayors Chief of Staff delivering a message from him to Laura Gill. I would even pay to sit in on that one!

You don't suppose that Davis calling Teresa R. his "Chief of Staff" is just his small way of putting all the city employees on notice of who exactly is in charge.

I agree, it is time for him to GO! He has become a hugh liability.

Maybe the City can issue "Gary Bucks" script to pay for all these dream projects! The $5 bills would have his smiling face on it, with a picture of an elk wearing a speedo suit standing on a high-dive board on the reverse side.

The $20 bill would have a picture of the mall on the reverse side; the $50 bill would have The mall on the reverse side. And the $100 bill would have a soccer ball on it with a detachable coupon saying good for a 10% discount from Grace Coffee.

All Gary Bucks would say "In Region Builders We Trust, All Others, Step Aside"

Matt,

Good one!
Now for the 15-17 crossings.

I spoke to a friend recently who had out of town quests from Canada visiting the last month. Her guest enjoys bike riding, however the first week here she was hit by a car on her bike....car did not stop....My friend wanted her to report the accident....she declined to do so, simply saying "what for". So much for our bike lanes on EG Florin and Bond!

15-17 crossings.....is this building a "safer" bike friendly city?

Mayor Davis is a wonderful Politician; let's not address true concerns....just side step and dance around resident's valid concerns...They all do it and that is how they stay in office......that and apathy! Sound Good, Look Good, have developers finance the campaigns......keep developers happy! SOI here we come a small chunk at a time!

On Leadership.

"Leadership is solving problems. The day soldiers stop bringing you their problems is the day you have stopped leading them. They have either lost confidence that you can help or concluded you do not care. Either case is a failure of leadership." ~~
Colin Powell

Mayor Davis, your spate of boorish behavior suggests that day is quickly approaching. Does the name Ms. Sarah Johnson mean anything to you?

Obeisant is the word that comes to mind when I see this clip.
Mark Doty really believes in and works hard to get a workable trails plan in place.
But when it comes to appearing before Lord Gary, he comes undone.
I saw this behavior recently when he applied for the Planning Commission vacancy.
The Lord Gary dismissed him then as now.
It's one of the reasons why I no longer make physical appearances before The Lords' Council.
My behavior is viewed to be brash, and not obeisant enough.
Curtsy, there, before they take off your head.
