Suspect Flashes Handgun While Shoplifting From Elk Grove Retailer

A suspect flashed a handgun during a shoplifting incident late Wednesday afternoon.

According to Elk Grove Police, the suspect picked-up two designer purses at the TJ Maxx store on West Stockton Boulevard and started walking towards the exit. As loss prevention employees approached the suspect and his female companion, he lifted up his shirt exposing a handgun.

After the store employees backed away, the suspect and his companion fled to the parking lot. The suspect was described as a black male adult wearing a black shirt and black jeans.
