Elk Grove Teen in Custody After Knocking Girl Unconscious

An Elk Grove teen was taken into custody yesterday morning after he allegedly beat a teenage girl unconscious.

According to Elk Grove Police, the 14 year-old was involved in an argument with his 14-year old female victim that escalated into an altercation on the 4100 block of San Rafael Court. The victim was punched in the face which resulted in her falling to the ground.

The victim lost consciousness for a short period and the suspect continued to punch her while she was on the ground. In addition to losing consciousness, the victim suffered visible injuries that required hospitalization. 

The juvenile suspect was taken into custody and was booked into juvenile hall where he faces battery with severe bodily injury charges.
