A man suspected of shoplifting is in custody facing felony robbery charges.

According to Elk Grove Police, 21-year old Marcus Ancheta was observed shoplifting at the Elk Grove Boulevard Walmart. When Ancheta left without paying, loss prevention employees approached him and he started throwing merchandise at the employees and took a fighting stance.

Fearing for their safety, the employees let the suspect go and contacted police. Responding officers located Ancheta a short distance away and detained him.

After being positively identified, Ancheta was arrested and booked into the county jail where he remains in custody on $50,000 bail.

Stupid idiot should have run instead of getting into a fighting stance.

Didn't he know about Prop 47?

One more jerk that the taxpayers have to provide free health care, food and housing to.
