An Elk Grove man was taken into custody early Thursday evening for violating terms of his probation.

According to Elk Grove Police, a probation search of the residence of 24-year old Oscar Alexander Barrientos on the 9200 block of the Lakepoint Drive in the Laguna West neighborhood unveiled a relatively small marijuana growing operation. Officers discovered 12 plants and indicia of sales during their search.

Barrientos was taken into custody and is currently being held at the county jail on a $540,000 bail. Barrientos is charged with violation of his probation, possession of marijuana for sale, and illegal production of marijuana.

No way that boy will be able to make $540,000 bail.
