Elk Grove Police have identified the suspect they believe is responsible for today's bank robbery.

The robbery, which took place at 12:43 p.m. at the Chase branch bank at 7427 Laguna Blvd., occurred when 48-year old Darius Gilbert approached a teller demanding money and indicating he was armed. Although the teller could not see the gun, she complied with the demands and turned over an undisclosed amount of cash.

After being given an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency, the suspect exited the bank and was last seen walking away from the location through the parking lot.
