FBI Offering $10,000 Reward For Elk Grove Bank Robber

The FBI is offering a $10,000 reward for the suspect wanted in connection with this week's Elk Grove bank robbery.

The suspect, identified as Darius Gilbert, is being sought in connection with Tuesday's robbery of the Chase Bank on Laguna Boulevard. In addition to the Elk Grove robberry, Gilbert is wanted in connection to seven other bank robberies in the Bay Area.

Those robberies include:

• San Francisco
• March 30: U.S. Bank, 4610 Mission St.
• April 2: Citibank, 260 California St.
• April 7: Bank of America, 3701 Balboa St.
• April 17: U.S. Bank, 4610 Mission St.
• April 20: Citibank, 2198 Chestnut St.
• May 14: East West Bank, 3061 Balboa St.
• Antioch
• May 9: JP Morgan Chase, 3206 Delta Fair Blvd
• Elk Grove
• May 27: JP Morgan Chase, 7427 Laguna Blvd.

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for leads resulting in the arrest and conviction of the individual responsible for the aforementioned robberies.

Gilbert is described as a 48 year-old black male who stands 6’2” to 6’4” tall with an athletic build. During the robberies, the suspect was seen wearing a variety of clothing but has made little to no attempt at disguising his appearance. He may be driving a silver, four-door 2007 BMW 750.

A federal arrest warrant has been issued for Gilbert.

The suspect is considered armed and dangerous. He has brandished weapons—a handgun or a knife—during some of the robberies.

This investigation is being conducted jointly by the FBI, along with the San Francisco Police Department, Antioch Police Department, and Elk Grove Police Department.
