As part of their community outreach efforts, several members leaders in the local Muslim community will be the featured speakers at next Tuesday's monthly meeting of the Elk Grove-South County Democratic Club.

Presentations will be offered by Dr. Fawzia Keval, Director for Elementary Education with the Elk Grove Unified School District. Previous to that role, Keval was the Principal at Prairie Elementary School for nine years.

Also speaking will be Akram Keval, who works with area youth and Basim Elkarra, civil rights leader serving as the Director of the Sacramento Chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR).

The June and July meetings will be held at the Valley Hi-North Laguna Public Library at 7400 Imagination Pkwy. which is is located off Bruceville Road approximately halfway between Sheldon and Calvine Roads; the library is across the street from Cosumnes River College (CRC). The June meeting starts at 6:30 p.m.
