According to police reports, the unknown suspect entered the Raley's store on Elk Grove Boulevard and Franklin Boulevard at approximately 4:07 p.m., approached the customer service area and demanded money from the employees who were working behind the counter. The employees complied with the demands and gave an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency to the suspect who then exited the store.

The suspect was described as a Caucasian male, approximately 40 to 50-years of age, 5’9”, with a large build. The suspect was wearing a black baseball cap, dark blue short-sleeve t-shirt, blue jeans and athletic shoes.

During the course of the investigation, Elk Grove Police detectives developed information that the same suspect had committed similar robberies in Livermore, Lodi and Tracy over the last several days.
