Two skateboarders were arrested late Saturday night after they faked an accident and robbed a man at gunpoint.

According to Elk Grove Police, the 20-year old victim was driving eastbound on Lamprey Drive towards Elk Grove-Florin Road when he saw the two male suspects riding skateboards on the corner. One of the suspects, a 17-year old from El Campo, tapped the front of the victim's car and fell to the ground.

When the victim got out of his car to check, the skateboarder faking the fall pulled a handgun while his 17-year old accomplice approached the victim from behind and brandished a knife. The suspects demanded personal property from the victim who complied.

Responding officers located the knife-brandishing in the immediate area and was found in possession of the victim's property. Officers were able to locate and detain the gunman at a residence in the 9300 block of Camada Court.

A search of the residence led to the discovery of the handgun (loaded) and knife used in the robbery. The victim's property was also located inside the residence.

After both suspects were positively identified by the victim, they were arrested and booked into juvenile hall.
