Three students from Elk Grove's Cosumnes Oaks High School were arrested on campus yesterday morning after they allegedly burglarized a house.

According to Elk Grove Police, officers responded to the 9800 block of Pipit Way regarding a residential burglary alarm. When officers arrived, two suspects fled from the rear of the residence and were seen getting into a nearby vehicle being driven by a third suspect.

Officers confirmed that a residential burglary had taken place and contacted the resident. The resident advised that an iPhone had been taken during the burglary.

During the investigation, officers obtained video surveillance that captured images of one of the suspects. An uninvolved person was able to provide identifying information about one of the suspects, a 16-year old male.

Officers determined that 16-year old suspect was a student at Cosumnes Oaks and an EGPD detective responded to the high school for follow-up. While at the school, the detective was advised that the 16-year old was caught coming back onto campus along with two other students, a 15 and 16-year old males.

Officers determined that the 17-year old drove the other two suspects the area of the residential burglary and that the two younger suspects had burglarized the home. Officers located the stolen iPhone in the 17-year old's vehicle and the clothing that the suspects were wearing during the burglary was later recovered in a trash can.

The three suspects were taken into custody then transported to juvenile hall.

Good thing they didn't try to break in my house.

I was home at the time and ironically I was cleaning my guns and had the ammo sitting in the next room.

Get off my Effin' Lawn!

Would have been hilarious if those punks fell over the fence and knocked out their teeth.

Even better would have been that there was a deaf pit bull sitting in the house. No bark all bite.
