A Sacramento man is in custody after he led police on a foot chase and resisted arrest.

According to Elk Grove Police, 28-year old Timothy Andrew Eccel (pictured above) was observed yesterday afternoon climbing out of a reported stolen vehicle on the 8500 block of Jasmine Crest Court. Eccel reportedly fled the vehicle on foot and would not comply with officer’s instructions to stop and broke through two residential gates while trying to escape.

The EGPD officer chased the suspect into a backyard, and when he turned towards the officer in an aggressive manner, the officer deployed his taser. Eccel was taken into custody and a search led to the discovery of narcotics and a shaved key.

After being medically cleared, Eccel was booked into the jail where he is being held ineligible for bail.

Don't taze me bro!

He is lucky that he didn't get shot or bit by a K-9 officer.
