A 47-year old Sacramento man was convicted by a jury today on three counts of forcible sodomy, one count of forcible rape, false imprisonment, sexual battery, robbery, and vehicle theft.

According to the Sacramento County District Attorney, 47-year old Kevin Andre Brown shared a house with his wife and 55-year old mother-in-law and victim. On January 11, 2013, Brown brutally physically assaulted his victim, strangled her until she lost consciousness, and used phone cords and duct tape to bind her hands and feet.

Brown then took her ATM card and used her vehicle to go to her bank and withdraw money. When he returned to the house, he sexually assaulted the victim for a period of six to seven hours while intermittently smoking crack cocaine.

He then fled in the victim’s car and was later taken into custody in Los Angeles. Brown faces a sentence of more than 100 years to life in prison.

Sentencing is set for January 4, 2016, at 9 a.m. in Department 24 before Judge Shelleyanne Chang.
