Elk Grove Drugstore Robbed For Second Time in Less Than a Week

A drugstore was robbed for the second time in less than four days in Elk Grove.

On Saturday afternoon, an unknown shopper inside the Walgreens drugstore on the 9100 block of Franklin Boulevard grabbed several items then walked up to the cashier. The suspect placed the items on the counter along with a note demanding money.

The employee feared for his safety and gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of cash from the register who exited the store and fled in a silver sedan. The employee was not injured during the robbery.

This was the second robbery of this store in less than five days. In a daring robbery Wednesday night, two unknown suspects jumped the pharmacy dispensing counter and stole pharmaceutical grade narcotics.

The suspect in this incident was described as a white male adult 30-40 years of age, 6`0”, 210 lbs., wearing a gray beanie, brown jacket with a hood, blue jeans, and black and white shoes No surveillance photo or video have been made available.
