Elk Grove's Sole Microbrewer Changing Hands, Will Reopen as Flatland Brewing

A change of ownership will take place with Elk Grove’s sole microbrewery in the coming days.

Handcraft Brewer, a local supplier of home brewing supplies and brewer of specialty beers has announced the change of ownership. Taking over Handcraft’s business will be Flatland Brewing Company.

Unlike Handcraft, Flatland will not be selling brewing supplies and will instead focus on brewing a line of specialty beers. Flatland will be offering a rotation of craft brews including a hoppy pale ale, American IPA and Monday morning coffee oatmeal stout.

After conversion, the business is scheduled to re-open on Thursday, January 7 with regular hours on Thursday and Friday between 3 – 8 p.m. and Saturday from 12 – 8 p.m. Additionally, a special grand opening event will be held on Friday, January 15 between 3 – 8 p.m. 

Food will be available for purchase. Flatland is located at 9183 Survey Road, Suite 104, Elk Grove.
