Sacramento County Board of Supervisors Appoints Gill as Interim CEO

At their regular meeting this afternoon, the Sacramento County Board of Supervisors appointed Nav Gill as the county's interim Chief Executive Officer. Gill, who is the county's Assistant Chief Executive Officer, will temporarily fill the CEO position being vacated by Bradley Hudson, who will leave on January 24.

“Mr. Gill is the right choice for our County; he’s been with us since 2007, thoroughly knows County operations and has strong relationships with internal leadership, community partners and stakeholders,” Supervisor Roberta MacGlashan, newly elected Chair of the Board and Supervisor for District 4, said.

Gill has been with the county since 2007 and previous to that he was with The City of Folsom where he was responsible for finance and public works. Gill is the husband of Elk Grove City Manager Laura Gill.

The county's press release, which included quotes from three of the five supervisors, did not disclose the final vote on Gill's interim appointment.

Regarding any interaction with the City of Elk Grove, can you say "conflict of interest?" Move over "birther issue," we now have the "pillow talk issue!"
