Unknown Suspect Robs Elk Grove Bank, Claims to be Armed

An Elk Grove Bank was robbed yesterday morning by an unknown male suspect claiming to be armed with a gun.

According to Elk Grove Police reports, the suspect approached a teller at the Tri Counties Bank located inside the Raleys store on the 4900 block of Elk Grove Boulevard and presented a note claiming to being armed and demanding money. The teller complied and gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of cash.

After taking the cash, the robber exited the location on foot and fled in an unknown direction. The suspect is described as a white male adult, 5’9”, 200 lbs., wearing an orange baseball hat, black hooded sweat shirt and blue jeans. 

The employee was not injured and no weapons were seen. No surveillance videos or photographs have been made available.
